What's the lifetime of the sanding belts?
The lifespan of sanding belts depends heavily on the type and manufacturer of the belt. In addition, process parameters are very important, such as speed, the level of rust on the wire, the thickness of the mill scale, etc. Typically, sanding belts on our machines have a lifespan between 3 and 12 tons.
How fast can I run my line?
The line speed depends on the number of reductions. With 10 steps for example, you can easily achieve 25 meters per second with our belt grinding machine (assuming the drawing line is capable of this).
How long does it take to change the belts?
The time required to replace a sanding belt, using our automatic tension release system, is a matter of minutes—less than 1 minute per side.
